Introduction to Systemic Autism-related Family Enabling (SAFE)

SAFE is a manualised systemic intervention for families of children with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder. SAFE draws on evidence based principles of Family Therapy and what is known about the strengths and preferences of people with autism.

Prof. Rudi Dallos Developer of Attachment Narrative Therapy and a family therapist of forty years, across autism, eating disorders, trauma and high-conflict couples.
Prof. Rebecca Stancer A developmental psychologist co-leading the NHS-funded SAFE trial for families with an autistic child, widely published on autism, formulation and attachment.
